The moodboard represents the feeling we want to give with our website. Most existing recipe websites use greens and browns, conveying a natural, healthy kitchen look. We decided to break away from that since our website focuses on learning and refining cooking skill.

We went with bold blacks and whites taken from modern applicances and professional kitchens. Stainless steel and white porcelain influenced the colors, while Modernist counters and cupboards provided the boxed shape. We reserved the use of color for highlights in the site, where we need to draw the user's attention, and sampled them from fresh fruits and spices.
