For our recommendation system model, we utilized many aspects of the MIT model as proposed in their paper, What Am I Gonna Wear?: Scenario-Oriented Recommendation. The MIT model covered many areas that we wanted to incorporate in generating a recommendation for a visitor whether it was from a valet or the system during a general browsing experience. We also wanted our model to be scenario (occasion) and style driven, which is exactly what the MIT model does but takes it a few steps further.
