01 Weee Garden

Download final presentation

Our final concept focused on the users’ need to connect with nature and enjoy space without effort and maintain the sanctuary feel that its users value about it. It was important that our concept feel as organic and natural as possible and that the interactive was quiet, subtle yet rewarding.

The Weee garden is located along the hillside path leading up to the stairs along Doherty Hall. It will not be prominent enough to draw crowds but is noticeable to users who commonly use the space. The Weee garden is outfitted with features that quietly ask for attention and respond only to those who give it. We feel that this will give hillside users a greater sense of ownership about the space.
