We came up with 20 ideas for how to make the hillside interactive for its users, some of which directly addressed heard needs of users including quiet space, access to amenities, desire to be close to nature. Additionally, because users may not realize a need, we came up with a number of ideas that were not guided by what we heard in our research. These ideas included several game ideas, some of which incorporated multimedia, others that took on dramatic use of waterfalls and technology. Ultimately we pared our ideas down to five, based on peer review and feedback from our advisors. We took these ideas back out to the field for needs-validation with users at the site.
