Instead of the boring "messages" menu screen from our previous design, we created a fun character, Mr.Pigglesworth, who gives kids news and advice about managing their money. Pigglesworth is a piggy bank with an education and will explains things to the child. We made other efforts to make the interface more interactive with color, movement and a way to pay your bills by dragging and dropping American coins and bills. In addition to being fun, kids see exactly how much money they are spending and see their account shrinking. The hope is that this will help them understand what their money is really worth.
