Who are we designing for?

Our task included creating a persona and an iPhone application based on a given user and task list.

Potential users include:

• Elder exercize groups
• Parents of a toddler
• Teen babysitters

Potential tasks include:

• Sharing / creating a community memory / memento
• Finding information related to cooking or eating
• Finding information related to health/fitness

After a significant amount of brainstorming, we felt that an interesting demographic would be parents of a toddler and finding information related to health/fitness. We took a different approach to this problem space by focusing on the parents, specifically the mother, rather then the toddler.

As of 2007, 71% of women in the US labor force have children under 18 years of age. With the heavy commitment that comes from both parenting, and a job, we recognized a unique user base with stress concerns we wanted to address.
