Goals

Our group decided that it might be good to go back to the Strip on a crowded Saturday with props to see how people, especially families with children, might react to them. While the props are not a direct substitute for an interactive kiosk, we hoped it might lead to some insight as to whether or not something out of the ordinary will actually attract people's attention at the Strip.

Results

There were a variety of emotions expressed at the Nemo fish we placed at the Strip. They are categorized as follows:

Happyness and Excitement

Many people, especially children, became excited when passing by the nemo. Some people even went to pet the Nemo while others gathered up around it and took pictures with it. It put smiles on a wide variey of people's faces.

Confusion

Some people expressed confusion over the fish and wondered why a giant Nemo was out on the sidewalk. One person even seemed to be angry or annoyed at the fact that it was there and stated, "A giant fish... why!? Just because?"

Unemotional

A large number of adults and the majority of seniors seemed to pass by the Nemo without expression. It was not clear if they simply did not notice it, did not know what it was, or simply did not care. Clearly, a cartoon stuffed fish was not the best way to get their attention.
