Direct Observation

We went to South Side Works twice to observe its inhabitants and gain familiarity with the space. This involved getting a sense of what people were doing in the space and taking pictures.

Results

We found that people were engaged in a variety of activities. The two most common activities were waiting (for people, a movie, or a table at the Cheesecake Factory) and people walking through the space as they shopped. We also explored the area to find a suitable space for our kiosk. We settled on a grassy area that was situatated near where most of the foottraffic was observed.
