03 Iterations

For each iteration we developed a problem scenario, discussed possible mobile application solution and then reflected upon how effectively it handled the situation, whether it could be generalized or not and went back to strengthening our Persona and Scenarios.

First Iteration

  • Problem: Greatly driven by random demands of grandkids and desire to spend time effectively
  • Solution: Treasure-hunt where application gives clues to places where kids can have fun activities
  • Shortcoming: Did not justify why mall-walking was necessary and mobile need

Second Iteration

  • Problem: In addition to mall-walking, shop for an item at the mall, desire to find, sit and talk to other mall-walker
  • Solution: Mall map tagged with positions of all mall-walking community members, ability to send invitation and choose place to meet
  • Shortcoming: Individual vs. Group Interaction, need to strengthen solution for mall-walkers
