Using our Design Goals as starting points for the design, we generated and evalutated many ideas. Below are some of the ideas that were discussed.

Options
• Provide set of options to filter results

Entering ingredients
• Use product barcodes to identify ingredients
• Search and select from limited list of main ingredients
• Provide categorized list of ingredients
• Type ingredient name and suggest matching ingredients

Learn from usage patterns and improve results
• Show list of additionally required ingredients to select from
• Provide option to mark ingredients they have/don't have when reviewing a recipe
• Show results based on ingredients you have

Provide flexibility
• Allow selecting from "you definitely can cook" or "you possibly can cook" menus
• Show number of matching recipes - user can add/remove ingredients until they want to
• Provide secondary list of recipes that aren't a perfect match but are possibilities
