First Iteration

Scenario

After a busy morning at Bloomberg, Matt Forrester is tired. His Indian friends Amit and Rohan are visiting from out of town, and he still hasn't decided where he's taking them for dinner. Where do I take them? He draws his iPhone from his pocket, opens up Foodle, and types into the question field: "Where can I get good Chicken Masala?" The app gives him a time estimate of 15 minutes. Seeing his boss walk over, Matt slips his phone back into his pocket and gets back to work.

Ritu Gupta is studying at the school library. On this early afternoon, studying is the last thing she wants to do, but she doesn't have much of a choice – her thermodynamics exam is tomorrow morning. Suddenly, her iPhone vibrates. Ritu unlocks her phone, and sees a pop up message: "smile369 asked 'Where can I get good Chicken Masala'? Answer get 10 points. You are only 15 points away from your next free meal !" Thrilled with the prospect of getting a free meal, Ritu agrees to answer. Ritu types in her response: "I think tamarind is good" and, selects Tamarind where she went with her family last weekend from the list of restaurants.

Knowing his friends Amit and Rohan are from Bangalore, Matt knew this should be a good choice. He messages Ritu and asks, "How is the Chicken Masala here?" "Their Masala is good, but I like their Chicken Vindaloo even better", she replies. Amit and Rohan like the idea of going to a South Indian restaurant.

Matt arrives at Tamarind with Amit and Rohan and enjoy an authentic dinner of Chicken Masala, Vindaloo, and Saag. Matt thought the food was too spicy for his taste, but his Indian friends really enjoyed the meal.

He opens up his iPhone, navigates to Foodle, and gives a thumbs up to Ritu's suggestion for Tamarind, receiving 5 points for his recommendation. With only 10 points remaining toward his next free meal, Matt smiles.

Ritu is finally done studying for her thermodynamics exam. She unlocks her iPhone and sees a new message: "smile369 really liked Tamarind! You get 5 extra points to your free meal. Congratulations! Your next meal at Tamarind will be free!" A gush of joy sweeps into Ritu 's heart: "Yes! Chana Masala, tomorrow evening after I've rocked this exam!"
