In order to create a novel and innovative shopping experience, it was important to consider our users' needs. We did this by first deciding on an area of research, followed by directed storytelling and user observations. We continued with a look at what competitors had to offer so that we could ensure a contribution and clear value to our system. Next, to fill a few holes in our data, we deployed some rapid prototypes as a way of gathering more data by observing user interaction with the prototypes. Lastly, as the our prototypes and user research came together, we performed another competitive analysis on our specific feature set in order to create the best possible experience.
