Window to the Past |
||||
Problem Statement: Design a kiosk for a public space. Learn about the type of people that inhabit or use the space and come up with a design that appeals to them Our project, Window to the past, is an interactive kiosk designed for a plaza in the south side works. People that utilize the space are typically walking through as they go shopping or are waiting for a table at the nearby Cheescake Factory. Now an outdoor mall, south side works was once the home of J&L steel. Our kiosk strives to create a link between the present and past. The kiosk interface is designed to take advantage of a window metaphor that allows the user to look "through" the screens and see back into the past.
